Day 7 Do you have what it takes?

20120607-125424.jpg

Good afternoon everyone!!

It has been a few days since I last posted and hopefully you have gotten through any type of “block” that was preventing you from thinking and/or writing down your goals. It does take time sometimes to get your thoughts together and focus. Having focus is very important in this process because it makes it easier for you to think freely. When you know what you want, it makes it easier for you to “focus on your focus”. When you are “focused on your focus”, you have made up your mind about what you need and you are determined to bring your dreams into fruition.

Is it hard to “focus on your focus”? YES! If everyone was focused on their focus, everyone would be successful! There would be no middle or lower class, everyone would be apart of the Billionaires or Millionaires club! Bring focus to your life shows that you have what it takes and you won’t let anyone steer you in the wrong way.

If it helps, keep a journal or notepad just to write down your miscellaneous thoughts. Still keep gathering newspaper and magazine clippings for your vision board. On Monday we will start working on it so write that down in your journal or calendar.

Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

“If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, ”Here comes number seventy-one!”

Day 3-Fresh Start Challenge

Day 3 of the Fresh Start Challenge

Hopefully, you have started writing down your goals and seriously thinking about them. I have decided what I would like to work towards and i want to share them so that you can visualize what I’m talking about. Your goals do not have to be written down this way but it’s a good way to organize your thoughts.

20120603-114117.jpg

I have decided that I want to work on my attitude, family, finances, and my physical appearance, just to name a few. My list doesn’t include a detailed description, but that will be changing soon. I like to know exactly what direction I’m going in and what I’m working towards specifically. For example, I know that I want to work on having a monthly budget. My finances aren’t horrible but having a budget would make it so much easier to plan for my bills, savings and money for my household, personal things and things that I need to take care of.

The Fresh Start pyramid will give you an idea of a baseline. It gives you the different areas and they are very broad. Take a look:

Attitude, trust and temperance being the most important because of the world we live in today. Use this pyramid to give you some ideas.

If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Send me an email at aboutmybusiness@live.com. I will post your question (minus your information) on my blog with an answer.

Day 2-Fresh Start Challenge

20120602-121000.jpg

It’s day two of the Fresh Start challenge and I am super excited!! Hopefully, you have given much thought to everything that I shared with you yesterday and are ready to move forward. And hopefully you have started working on your list of goals, dreams and aspirations. You can always go back and change you goals or add to it at anytime, so don’t think that the list will always stay the same. By altering your list, it shows that you are growing and changing.

No matter what your goals are, they are very special. Why? Because they belong to you! And because they are what is most important to you. Otherwise, why would it be a goal or dream? You wouldn’t want something if it wasn’t special to you or something that you aspire to have. So why sell yourself short? Why not work towards your dreams?

Often we want something but we don’t follow through or we think that we can’t have it. Believing in your abilities is a part of self-love and plays an important roll in self-confidence and whether or not you know how to self-motivate. No one can give you those things because they are things that you must do for yourself. Hence the word “self”. You should never look to anyone else for the things that you should give yourself FIRST! Never look to anyone else to love you if you can’t love yourself. Never look to someone to compliment you or give you a boost if you don’t have confidence. Never look to another to motivate you if you can’t even motivate yourself to get out the bed or reach for the sky to reach your goals.

You must provide for yourself FIRST. Give yourself the things that you need then you can allow others to compliment or add to what you have already done. It’s like when you are raising kids, if you give your child everything they need without them working for it, they will always expect that. They will never know what it took for them to work for it.

Expect change and embrace it. If you don’t adapt to change very well, you aren’t ready for a Fresh Start. With this process, change will come rapidly and you have to be ready to handle it.

20120602-123552.jpg You must be ready, willing and able to sustain yourself, allow change, and remain positive.

One thing that I can suggest is to find a place where you can sit in peace and quiet for about 30 minutes to an hour every day. By doing this, you are allowing your mind to wonder and breathe. Think about what you want and how you can expand your goals. Think about the path that you need to take to get there and whether or not you are ready to take that journey. Nothing worth having is given to you or even free. Sometimes when you acquire something that was given to you, you don’t keep it long. It can be taken from you, you may just not appreciate it or it breaks. When you work for something, you appreciate it and value it. It means something so why would you mistreat it?

I hope that I have given you something to think about. I also hope that you give some thought to your goals. Please work on writing down your goals. Also, start gathering magazines, newspaper clippings and a piece of cardboard or a presentation board. Over the next week or so we will start working on your vision board. A vision board is a way for you to put your goals and dreams on paper and visualize it. Go to the Vision Board website and get ideas by clicking here.

These are two examples of vision boards by others.

Your board will represent everything that you want so put some thought and time into what you want on it.

Fresh Start Kick off!!!!

20120601-034257.jpg

Good morning!!!!

First, I would like to thank each and every one of you for following me and joining me on this journey!! This will be a journey for both you and I, so i never want you to feel lonely. For 30 days we will talk about our ambitions, goals and dreams then we will work towards making those ambitions, goals and dreams come true! The journey may seem longer than 30 days and for some it will take more than 30 days. But we will make this journey TOGETHER.

I wanted to do a small course on having a “Fresh Start” because occasionally we all need one. We all need to take some time out and figure out what we want and how we are going to bring that “Fresh Start” into fruition. Everyone needs help making a “Fresh Start” and i am here for you! We all need that push every once in a while to move us forward. I will be that push for you!

My first questions to you are “Do you know what you want?” or “What are your goals?”. If you are not sure of either one, that is okay! You will know by week two of this course.

Knowing what you want to accomplish and what goal(s) you are trying to reach is the first step in your “Fresh Start”. Whether those goals are long or short

20120601-040243.jpgterm does not matter. All that matters is that you have goals and they need to be recognized! Don’t let others throw doubt and negative energy your way! Believe in your “Fresh Start”! Believe in YOU!

This journey will take patience, perseverance, strength, self-confidence, self-love and lots of positive thinking. If you have never seen the documentary “The Secret”, I would strongly encourage you to watch it with an open mind and an open heart. The documentary talks about staying positive and through positive thinking and belief, all things are possible. When you keep a positive attitude and ask the universe for what you want, whatever you want is yours! But you have to believe wholeheartedly!

There are some things that you have to ask yourself throughout this journey. Are you ready for a “Fresh Start”? Are you a positive thinker? Could your inability to remain positive be what is hindering you? Do you love yourself? What is hindering you from moving forward? These are just a few questions that you need to ask yourself now and throughout the 30 day challenge.

My first “assignment” for you is to write down your goals, both long and short term. Don’t worry about how they will come to life, just know what you want and write it down! Really give this some thought and show that you are committed to your beginning your “Fresh Start”.

I believe in my heart that if you have come this far (following me, reading this blog), you are off to a great start and YOU will follow this through. I believe in YOU!!
