A poem by Me…for whomever…
A poem by Me…for whomever…
I know…..I know! I have my moments of posting everyday or more than once a day and then I go weeks but its all due to me brainstorming.
I have opened up my new blog through HubPages so I definitely want you all to check that out. HubPages is a little different from WordPress. HubPages is all about you passing your knowledge on through tutorials or articles about whatever you would like to talk about. However, it’s more about me stating the facts with no sidebar comments. On WordPress you can talk about what your heart desires and make comments, jokes or whatever.
Right now I have only posted one blog thus far but will be posting another one (hopefully tonight). My first “hub” is about bartending. My second “hub” is about liquor. But most definitely, I would love for you to check it out and leave comments, if possible.
Anyway, make sure you check out my HubPage and give me some feedback.

My quote for the morning comes from the author of one of my favorite books to read. It’s inspirational and gives you things to think about.
I know that it has some length to it but to truly appreciate what this quote has to offer, please read it in its entirety.
“Resolve to throw off the influences of any unfortunate environment, and to build your own life to order. Taking inventory of mental assets and liabilities, you may discover that your greatest weakness is lack of self-confidence.
Self-Confidence Formula (abridged)
“I fully realize that no wealth of position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice; therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealously, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude towards others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself. I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once a day, with full faith that it will gradually influence my thoughts and actions so that I will become a self-reliant and successful person.”
– Napoleon Hill, from his best-selling and groundbreaking book “Think and Grow Rich“.
Good afternoon everyone!!
It has been a few days since I last posted and hopefully you have gotten through any type of “block” that was preventing you from thinking and/or writing down your goals. It does take time sometimes to get your thoughts together and focus. Having focus is very important in this process because it makes it easier for you to think freely. When you know what you want, it makes it easier for you to “focus on your focus”. When you are “focused on your focus”, you have made up your mind about what you need and you are determined to bring your dreams into fruition.
Is it hard to “focus on your focus”? YES! If everyone was focused on their focus, everyone would be successful! There would be no middle or lower class, everyone would be apart of the Billionaires or Millionaires club! Bring focus to your life shows that you have what it takes and you won’t let anyone steer you in the wrong way.
If it helps, keep a journal or notepad just to write down your miscellaneous thoughts. Still keep gathering newspaper and magazine clippings for your vision board. On Monday we will start working on it so write that down in your journal or calendar.
Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
“If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, ”Here comes number seventy-one!”
– Richard M. DeVos, is the billionaire owner of the Orlando Magic
Day 3 of the Fresh Start Challenge
Hopefully, you have started writing down your goals and seriously thinking about them. I have decided what I would like to work towards and i want to share them so that you can visualize what I’m talking about. Your goals do not have to be written down this way but it’s a good way to organize your thoughts.
I have decided that I want to work on my attitude, family, finances, and my physical appearance, just to name a few. My list doesn’t include a detailed description, but that will be changing soon. I like to know exactly what direction I’m going in and what I’m working towards specifically. For example, I know that I want to work on having a monthly budget. My finances aren’t horrible but having a budget would make it so much easier to plan for my bills, savings and money for my household, personal things and things that I need to take care of.
The Fresh Start pyramid will give you an idea of a baseline. It gives you the different areas and they are very broad. Take a look:
Attitude, trust and temperance being the most important because of the world we live in today. Use this pyramid to give you some ideas.
If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will post your question (minus your information) on my blog with an answer.
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.
The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks
into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”
